Twitter, LinkedIn

What were the most important lessons you learned while growing your business?

Always hire the best person you can find — better than yourself. It is better to wait if you are not sure.

What has been the most surprising part of your business journey?

I still find it surreal and humbling that Xero has entrusted me to run and grow this business. I get surprised most days.

What’s your sleep routine like?

Generally in bed by 11pm and up early around 5am for a run and then do some prep for the day.

What advice would you offer to other businesses on how to succeed?

Keep focused with a simple plan. We tend to over complicate things, when fundamentally they are simple and need to be to inspiring and shareable with others. Never lose sight of your customers.
