Baby Food Makes A Pretty Good Bellini

Baby Food Makes A Pretty Good Bellini

I spent a good portion of this last week hanging out with a baby, and that child loved those little pouches of pureed fruits and vegetables. Always curious, I took a taste of her peach-mango pouch and thought, “This wouldn’t be so bad in a cocktail.”

Apparently, I’m not the only one inspired by baby food. Over at Bon Appetit, Callie Wright tested out a whole slew of baby food recipes, the most successful of which were a burger and a peach Bellini. Though it may sound a little off-putting at first, peach baby food is really just strained peaches. Chill it, add a spoonful to a champagne glass (or regular wine glass) and top with sparkling wine.
