iOS/Android: The Hopper app has consistently been a useful, go-to tool for travellers looking for the best deal. This week, they announced personalised flight deal recommendations, a feature that will make it even easier to find the best prices on travel.
Hopper alerts you when your specific flight has dropped in price, and it offers predictions for price fluctuations, too, telling you when you’re likely getting the best price. The new features will offer a few more suggestions, from alternate travel dates to similar destinations.
The new version includes a notification feed feature in which Hopper’s algorithms analyse your trip watches to offer personalised recommendations for saving money. You’re notified if a trip you’re watching dropped in price, but you’ll also see options to shift the dates of your trip for more savings. You’ll also get recommendations for similar, cheaper destinations that are on sale during your travel dates. And if there’s a breaking fare sale from a nearby airport, Hopper will now notify you of that, too.
