Google Docs And Sheets On Android Now Supports Third-Party Add-Ons

Google has added support for third-party add-ons to the Android version of Docs and Sheets. The purposes of this is to add more functionality to the document and spreadsheet apps on mobile devices. These include the ability to sign Docs, import CRM data and create mobile apps from data in Sheets. Here are the details.

Google worked with eight integration partners to support a number of add-ons in Docs and Sheets, incluidng:

  • DocuSign: Allows you to add or complete a signing process for Docs or Sheet files that can then be saved to Google Drive.
  • ProsperWorks: Allows you to import CRM data that can be used to create reports and graphs in Sheets.
  • AppSheet: You can create mobile apps from data in Sheets without any coding.
  • Scanbot: Lets you scan business documents and insert their contents into Docs.
