Few things are more uncomfortable than having something lodged in your throat, especially a tiny fish bone. It probably won’t cause any serious problems, but you’ll be miserable until it gets unstuck. To do that, you can either try to cough it up, or Hali Bey Ramdene at The Kitchn suggests you drink super-thick liquids like milkshakes to get it moving down. Smoothies can help too. If you don’t have access to those, Ramdene recommends a peanut butter sandwich, some sticky rice, a marshmallow, or some nuts.
