Here Are Five Of The World’s Most Destructive Computer Viruses

Computer security has become big business, namely because the number of cybersecurity threats plaguing consumers and organisations have increased dramatically in the last few years. Cybercriminals are exceptionally creative and are constantly developing new malware to wreak havoc on computer systems, steal valuable data or worse. This SciShow video lists five of the worst computer viruses in history.

YouTube channel SciShow has compiled a list of five of the worst computer viruses to have existed. The list was based on a few criteria including how quickly these viruses spread, how many people they affected and the amount of damage they did by themselves.

The video is a nice trip down memory lane as it outlines some of the viruses from the past that seem so simple by today’s standards. Remember the Melissa Virus?

Don’t agree with the list? What are some computer viruses that, in your opinion, should have been mentioned? Let us know in the comments.
