Evernote For Android Adds Annotations, Automatically Detects Note Types

Android: Evernote’s added a few new tricks for users who are into scanning notes. Now, the app can automatically detect things like business cards and post-it notes. You can also add annotations to pictures you take.

In previous versions of Evernote, you had to manually select modes like Post-It and Business Card. Now, you can take a picture and Evernote will automatically detect which type of note you’ve taken. You’ll still need Evernote Premium to scan notes in certain modes, but now it’s slightly easier.

The bigger addition comes with annotations. Once you take a picture, you can add arrows, text, pointers, outlines and pixelate certain sections. You can edit most of the annotations later, though it appears that pixelating parts of an image can’t be undone (for obvious reasons).
