There are so many stunning places to see in the world, but some of them are really expensive to visit. While no destination is quite the same, Cheap Tickets rounded up some cheaper alternatives to popular (but expensive) holiday spots.
To come up with cheaper “dupe” destinations, Cheap Tickets pulled prices from their site, using random mid-week days throughout the month of May. The list is, of course, subjective. Many of these dupes assume you enjoy a certain destination for a specific reason, which is usually the landscape. While that’s probably mostly true for the general population of tourists, it might not be why you love that destination in particular. Here are a few highlights, including recommended places to stay:
-
Saint-Barthélemy: Vieques, Puerto Rico
Where to stay: Villa Coral; $US89 ($116) a night
-
Tuscany: Sonoma Valley, California
Where to stay: Best Western Dry Creek Inn; $US129 ($168) a night
-
French Alps: Cote de Beaupre, Quebec
Where to stay: Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac; $US187 ($244) a night
While they don’t offer average flight prices, you can tell most of the destinations on the list offer substantial savings if you run a quick Google Flights search. There are exceptions, however.
Still, the majority of the results offer significant savings, so it’s worth checking out. Take a look at the link below.

Lifehack: instead of wasting your money going to a shitty resort in the Philippines, save your money and go to Bora Bora.
