Boost Store-Bought Hummus With A Dollop Of Greek Yoghurt

A tub of store-bought hummus, along with some pita and veggies, makes a great, no-fuss snack — but the stuff can be a little lacklustre. Try stirring in a dollop of Greek yoghurt to take your tub to a smooth, extra creamy place.

The yoghurt, which must be full-fat (duh), adds a subtle amount of tangy flavour, but it’s main contribution is texture. According to Jenny at Dinner: A Love Story, plain generic brand hummus with a couple of “big scoops” of yoghurt took the crudite spread staple from “fine” to “wait, is this homemade?” Just fold it in, drizzle with some good olive oil and sprinkle with paprika. No one will know you didn’t make it yourself (unless you tell them).
