Beatactive Offers Full 30-Minute Workouts Synced With Great, Upbeat Music

Android/iOS: If you’re a music lover, particularly of the electronic music variety, Beatactive could be a sweet workout companion. Beatactive syncs up upbeat tunes, bodyweight exercises and a DJ who guides you through each workout.

A while ago, I got the chance to check out the Beatactive beta. The music was catchy and got me pumped for my workout. In some ways, it reminds me of a spunky group exercise class. The app is free to download, but you’ll need to pay $US8 ($11)/mo to access full 30-minute workouts, with new music-driven workouts released every week. I recommend checking out their SoundCloud here to see if you’ll dig the music.

So far, the newly released app includes only a few workouts, but you can demo one or two of them. The subscription feels like a bit of a monthly investment, but if sick beats and bass drops get you moving and exercising, Beatactive is a great alternative to the gym.
