Bitcoin is an interesting, if complicated way to store and spend money. If you have a stash laying around, Valve will now take it off your hands in exchange for sweet deals on games.
Bitcoin support at merchants hasn’t exactly had the fastest uptake. While you can find a few places that will take it, there are still huge gaps in the market that don’t support it. Steam marks another huge retailer that will accept Bitcoin, and the gaming store likely has a high amount of crossover with the people who understand and use Bitcoin on a regular basis.
