Seer Brings Mac-Like Preview Views To Windows

Windows: In OS X, you can select a file and press Space for a quick preview of it. You can’t do that in Windows — at least not without Seer, a free utility that gives you the same power. Tap the space bar to bring up an image, video or audio file in a quick view, and press space again to dismiss.

Seer is an experimental app, so expect some bugs here and there, but it worked well enough in Windows 10 when I tried it out. The app works really well with photos, video (which is much better than opening the video just to see what it is, if you don’t have a great naming scheme going for the video you’ve downloaded) and audio files.

It doesn’t work as well with documents and other text files though, so if you’re familiar with the way Quick Look works in OS X and want an exact duplicate in Windows, it’s not quite there yet. At the same time, it’s a far sight better than most other tools like it that we’ve tried, so it’s still worth a look. Hit the link below to give it a try.
