iPhone/Mac: Ever wonder if someone’s trying to guess your password? Or just curious about exactly how often the cat walks on your keyboard? Blink is a little app that will send a notification to your phone when your Mac wakes up or goes to sleep.
You’ll need to start by first pairing two versions of the Blink app on your iPhone and your Mac over Bluetooth (Blink only supports newer Macs with Bluetooth Low Energy). After the initial pairing you don’t need to keep Bluetooth on or be in range. Once the pairing is complete, anytime your Mac wakes up or goes to sleep you’ll get a notification on your phone. That’s all Blink does, so you won’t get any advanced snooping tools here, but it’s still an interesting little tool to have around.

But… Why…?
Yeah I don’t get it. What possible use could this have?
Could be handy if you are trying to catch your spouse or child sneaking onto the computer. But otherwise, seems a bit iffy.
