We’ve featured a Firewatch Desktop before, but now that the game is out, we’re seeing more than a few — and who can blame you, the game’s atmosphere is a huge draw, and the landscapes are gorgeous. Reader jadita put this one together.
This desktop is all windows, and with a little Rainmeter magic, can be yours too. Here’s what you’ll need:
- The sunset yellow wallpaper from the official Firewatch wallpaper pack
- The Rainmeter system tweaking and monitoring tool for Windows
- The 1-Line Clock widget for Rainmeter for the time display in the lower left
- Croxray’s Analogue Clock for Rainmeter for the analogue clock display (used to be here, but that’s offline — you can find some tweaked versions on Reddit though)
- Lines 2.0 for the system monitoring widgets
- Kantas Akra for Rainmeter as a simple visualizer at the bottom left as well
You may have some difrficulty getting that analogue clock working, but if you don’t find a good version or omit it altogether, the finished package still looks great. If you like it, or have questions about it, head over to jadita’s Kinja blog (linked below) to share your thoughts or ask away.
