This Futurama-Style Break Room Dinner Is A Great, Cheap Valentine’s Day Meal

It’s Valentine’s Day. All you have is what’s available in the kitchen at your office to make a romantic dinner. What do you do? Follow Fry’s recipe (or at least this one that’s close enough to make in real life).

Nerdy cooking site The Gluttonous Geek has put together this bare-bones recipe, straight out of Fry and Leela’s Big Fling, from season 10 of Futurama. In the episode, Fry makes a romantic dinner consisting of “Top Ramen in a Cremora sauce, Xerox-blackened chicken, and for dessert, cherry throat lozenge jubilee”.

The Gluttonous Geek has adapted the recipe for human consumption, so there’s no need to break out the copier or cough drops. What you’re left with is a simple chicken dinner and a tasty dessert, all on the cheap. You can make it as is, or just use it as a starting point for your weekend dinner plans. Check out the full recipe and instructions at the source below.
