Stop Everything: Uber Is Bringing Puppies To Australian Offices

Fancy snuggling up to some puppies while you’re at work? Uber is ready to deliver puppies to your office today as part of the Pets At Work program by Purina. Here’s how to get your hands on the little bundles of cuteness.

Pets have the ability to reduce stress but sadly most workplaces don’t allow animals to be brought in. Fortunately, you can get your temporary fix today through ride sharing startup, Uber, with the company kickstarting its UberPuppies campaign to deliver puppies to your office if you’re in a participating major capital city.

To reserve your mini furry creatures, you need to open your Uber app between 12pm and 4pm today then select the “Puppies” option. If puppies are available in your area, you and your colleagues get to spend 15 precious minutes basking in the cuteness of a litter of puppies, all of which are up for adoption should you fall in love with one of them.

Be advised that you will be asked a few questions to ensure the safety of the puppies (you know, to ensure you’re not a creepy Cruella De Vil) . Uber is charging a “snuggle fee” of $40, which will go towards supporting animal shelters.

Here are the areas that have access to UberPuppies today: Adelaide CBD, Brisbane CBD, Canberra CBD, Gold Coast CBD, Melbourne CBD, Perth CBD, Sunshine Coast CBD and Sydney CBD.

Globally, Uber has been known to deliver a range of strange and wonderful things through its service. It has already delivered kittens, ice cream and even cricket umpires.
