Keep Your Purse From Sliding Around While Driving With A Scarf

If you keep your purse on the passenger seat, you know it can go flying if you brake hard or stop suddenly, your things ending up an annoying mess all over the floor and under the seats. Luckily, all you need to keep your bag upright is a scarf.

The video above shows you how this works (skip to 1:08). Put the scarf around the headrest with the loose ends hanging down towards the purse. Next, loop the loose ends of the scarf through the handles of your purse and pull the scarf through loop. Tighten to secure your purse. Make sure you don’t leave too much slack, so your purse will stay put even if you brake. You can use any type of scarf that is long enough to loop around both the headrest and bag, so even if you’re not wearing a scarf today, a thin one in the glove compartment will work just as well. You could even use the same technique the next time you need to transport a gift bag, or some delicate groceries you don’t want on the floor of your car.
