Dealhacker: Samsung Galaxy S7 With 14GB Data For $85 Per Month (Virgin)

Virgin has revealed its pricing plans for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge — and they’re good ‘uns. All pre-orders will score a free Galaxy Gear VR virtual-reality headset, while customers who switch from another provider to the $85 plan will receive a massive 14GB of data per month. Here are the details.

The two Samsung flagship handsets were announced at Mobile World Congress earlier this week and we’ve already done a breakdown of the specs, outright pricing and expected availability of the phones in Austalia.

Virgin is the first mobile operator to release the pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge on two-year contract plans. New Virgin customers swapping over from a competitor will receive a generous bonus allowance for the first three months of their contract.

Bear in mind that the bonus data deal only applies to new customers on the Optus network (which Virgin runs on.) Sadly, this means existing Optus subscribers are excluded from the deal. However, existing Virgin customers that are looking to upgrade their plans have access to the bonus data.

We’ve listed the plan details and pricing for both smartphones below. (The bonus data for when you switch over from a valid competitor is indicated in brackets.)
