Modify A Basic Paper Towel Holder For Easier One-Handed Use

Most paper towel holders work just fine if you have two hands free. If one of hand is full, however, you need to be a highly-trained ninja to only pull a single sheet from the roll. A few suction cups and some pool noodle foam will fix that.

This video from YouTuber Shake the Future shows you how to turn any typical paper towel holder into a more usable device for multi-taskers.

Some cheap suction cups and a little glue will get your paper towel holder to stop sliding around on the counter. Then, a little pool noodle foam added to the centre pole will create enough friction on the roll you can easily pull single sheets with one hand. Whether you’re holding a baby or a slice of pizza, a paper towel is now only one hand away.
