Dear Lifehacker, I’ve recently started using a fitness tracker which comes with an inbuilt vibration alarm. This is great, as it means my girlfriend doesn’t get woken up by the noise of my alarm. (I work morning shifts.) However, we like to snuggle while sleeping, which means my wrist is usually buzzing against her ribs or in her ear. Can you suggest a solution that will wake me up without disturbing her? Thanks, Caring Boyfriend

Dear CB,
Get married.
But seriously, have you tried switching the fitness band to your other wrist? Unless you have her wrapped in a bear hug all night long, the arm on the opposite side of her should be a free agent. Sometimes, the simplest solution is all that’s needed.
Failing that, you could try employing a less amorous limb. Depending on the type of fitness band you own, it might be possible to attach it to your ankle without affecting its tracking functionality. That way, you’ll still get all your sleep data, but the alarm won’t disrupt your girlfriend’s beauty sleep. Give it a try!
Cheers
