This video from the HouseholdHacker YouTube channel demonstrates a simple way to slow the flow of your dressing. Most brands of salad dressing have a protective seal under the caps of their bottles. Instead of removing it, grab a toothpick (or some other small pointy object), and poke holes into it.
Now, instead of pouring gobs of dressing out at once, it will only sprinkle a little dressing out as you shake it. If you’re worried you won’t get enough flavour on your lettuce, you can dress your salad in layers and get even coverage without overpowering it.
