AutoMate Leaves Beta, Brings Android Auto-Style Dashboard To Your Phone

AutoMate Leaves Beta, Brings Android Auto-Style Dashboard To Your Phone

Android: Car dashboard apps are easy to come by, but hard to do well. AutoMate manages to pull it off, with an easy-to-use dashboard of handy features that help make driving easier.

We covered AutoMate back when it was in beta, but now the full app has been released to the Play Store for anyone to use. It’s also much more powerful now. You can use the app to look up nearby petrol stations or stores, manage your music, read and respond to incoming messages, and even see your upcoming calendar events. For some functions, AutoMate will need to launch an external app to complete a task (like opening Google Maps to get turn-by-turn directions), but you can quickly jump back to AutoMate from the notification shade.
