This Video Explains How You’re Doing Your Laundry Wrong

Doing laundry is one of those tasks we do so often we don’t really question how we might be doing it ineffectively. It’s just habit. This video explains some of the most common ways we do laundry wrong.

As the video explains, most of the ways we do laundry wrong boil down to simple unawareness. We don’t necessarily need to use as much detergent as we do, since more detergent doesn’t make clothes cleaner. You can also wear some clothes multiple times before washing.

While it might not feel as fresh, over washing can wear out clothes faster, despite little tangible benefit. Most clothes can handle being worn for more than 12 hours before they’re so filthy they need to be soaked in sudsy water and run through a giant metal heating tumbler, after all. Check out the video for more handy tips.
