Consult the oracle and you’ll get a random bowl to make. You can refresh for another suggestion or tap through for the step-by-step instructions. The app also offers essential noodle soup-making tips and covers a wide area of noodle types, including buckwheat soba, egg noodles, glass noodles, and instant ramen.
Although you can’t search for a particular noodle soup, see all 3 million variations, or find bowls by noodle type, you can add recipes to your favourites. The randomness of the soup suggestions is part of the app’s charm.
The app was created by Michele Humes, who was trained at the French Culinary Institute but grew up on her Cantonese mother’s noodle soups.
