iFixit Launches Certification To Prove You Know How To Repair A Smartphone

iFixit is well known for being the best source of smartphone repair guides around. Now, the company has launched its own certification program if you want to prove you know how to repair phones.

The certification consists of both a written and hands-on test and the entire process costs $US150. The tests cover common iPhones and Android devices, so it’s aimed largely at users who aim for professional repair. At the moment, it’s unclear how many (if any) employers recognise the iFixit certification as a measure of smartphone repair skill, but if you’re looking to learn, it probably couldn’t hurt.
