What IT trends matter most to you and yours? We want to know so we can make our IT Pro section even better! Take our 5-10 minute survey and you could win one of four Star Wars Sphero BB-8 Droids valued at $249.
UPDATE: This competition is now closed due to the overwhelming response from readers. Our thanks to everyone who took the time to complete the survey. The winners will be notified in November.
As IT Pro enters its third year on Lifehacker, we’re looking to make the section bigger and better than ever. But to do this, we need your help. If you have a spare five minutes handy, please take part in our IT Pro survey, which asks a range of questions relating to information technology. (You don’t have to be an IT professional to enter: all we ask is that you put some thought into your responses so we can use them to improve the site.)
Completion will enter you into a draw to win one of four Sphero BB-8 Star Wars Robots. Good luck!

Do you have to be an IT professional to take the survey?
The first question answers that:
It’s a trap, i feel like if i say no, i’ll be immediately disqualified from the draw.
BTW, i was being sarcastic. 😉
I’m with Luke, Feels like if you say no you will be disqualified – You didn’t really answer the question there Chris.
Leave the goods for us IT people then! 😀
From the terms and conditions, game of chance, no skill involved

Just to clarify, everyone who completes the survey goes into the draw to win. (I’ve updated the article to reflect this – cheers!)
Since there was no open ended question at the end (always a good idea in a survey), you should be aware that with the questions that ask “Using” “Considering in 6 months” or “Considering in 12 months”, if you accidently click on the wrong option, you can’t unchoose it.
Subsequently, in the question about “Cloud solutions”, my answer includes two items that I accidently clicked the mouse button on – there was no way to un-select it.
Next time you should use LimeSurvey 🙂
closed already ? Only up for less than a day ?
The competition has actually been up since Friday — it was prominently displayed at the top of our IT Pro section. Today’s post was just a pointer for people who had missed it. Sorry for the disappointment.
Disappointed that this wasn’t even open for a full 24 hours.

Thanks for the clarification Chris. I didn’t see it on Friday. Oh well, I probably don’t need a B-88 anyway (c:
