Hump Day Deals: Cheap Rum, Free Borderlands Game, Forbidden Comics

Hump day (AKA Wednesday) is arguably the most boring day of the week. So why not liven things up by grabbing one of these nifty online bargains?     • Target is having a sale on all major video game consoles, plus some decent deals on individual games. Click here to see what’s on offer.
    • You can currently get Episode 1 of Tales from the Borderlands on PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 for free. Get the links for each console here.
    • This week’s Humble Bundle focuses on indie games. Pay what you want and get Goodbye Deponia, Q.U.B.E.: Director’s Cut, Sir, You Are Being Hunted and a coupon for 66% off Planetary Annihilation: TITANS in the Humble Store. Pay more than the average price and you’ll also receive Xenonauts, Planetary Annihilation and Skullgirls (plus all DLC). Pay $10 or more to also get Gang Beasts (Early Access).     • The Google Play Store is offering a range of ebooks for free. Available titles include H.G. Wells’ The War of the Worlds, Nikola Tesla: Imagination and the Man That Invented the 20th Century by Sean Patrick and DC Entertainment Essential Graphic Novels and Chronology 2014.     • WindowsDeal has slashed a handful of PC software titles by up to 100 per cent. (We’ve not personally tested any of these products, so be mindful of included bloatware.)
    • Audible is currently offering a free version of the best-selling Locke & Key series. The audiobook features performances by Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Kate Mulgrew (Orange Is the New Black), author Joe Hill and his famous dad, Stephen King alongside a cast of more than 50 voice actors. The deal ends November 4.
    • The PC Security suite Avast Internet Security 2015 is offering six months free. During installation, select the 30-day trial to receive a 180-day extension.
    • Computers/Gadgets

      • With a little consumer trickery, it’s possible to snap up a 64GB Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (white) for $688 from JB Hi-Fi. (RRP: $1098.) To get the deal, you’ll need to track down some vouchers and/or trade in a working phone. OzBargain explains how it’s done.
