The idea of a smart mirror seems like some crazy thing from the future, but over on Adafruit, they show off a really easy way to build your own with an old Android device and a two-way mirror.
You’ll need to do a bit of work to get the Android software up and running, but otherwise it’s as easy as packing a few materials behind the mirror, then hanging it on the wall. The end result is a futuristic mirror that gives you a heads up display of your day’s calendar and events. If Android’s not your thing, I’d imagine an old iPad with something like Status Board installed would work just as well. Head over to Adafruit for the full guide.
