Stay On Top Of Your Morning And Weekly Routines With Recurring Trello Cards

Trello is an awesome tool that can help you organise your entire life. Combine it with the automation magic of Zapier, and Trello can remind you of all your priorities and the routines you want to carry out.

We’ve mentioned this trick before as a way to schedule repeating tasks in Trello, but the Zapier Blog notes a slightly different use: keeping on top of your morning and daily rituals and putting those tasks specifically in a “doing” list:

Web and app designer Jay West relies on a daily routine to power his productivity. By using Zapier and Trello, he never misses a beat: his favourite Zap automatically adds recurring cards to the “doing” column of his Trello task list.

“I believe strongly in the power of well designed morning and daily rituals,” Christopher says. “Each of the most important tasks I want to make sure to do on a daily basis are automatically put directly in my agenda ahead of anything else. When I wake up in the morning, my routine is already laid out for me and it makes it hard to resist doing what is most important, which otherwise may have been neglected.”

You can use this to establish a weekly review habit, to make sure you start your day right with a morning routine, and to make sure you don’t drop the ball on any monthly goals.

Of course, you can also just add scheduled events to your calendar, but Trello is pretty awesome as a visually organised GTD system and project management tool.

Check out the Zapier post below for tons of other things you can automate in Trello.
