Adblock Browser Arrives On iOS To Block Ads On The Go

iOS: Adblock’s standalone browser arrived on Android a few months ago and today it’s on iOS. As you’d expect, it blocks ads and tracking.

The browser itself isn’t extremely feature packed, but it does the job and blocks ads where it needs to. You can also whitelist sites by simply tapping the Adblock logo and unchecking a box, which is nice. That ad blocking should reduce your data usage a bit since ads tent to take up a lot of bandwidth. Of course, iOS is integrating ad blocking functionality into iOS 9 through content blockers, so it’s not clear how long the Adblock browser will be useful, but if you can’t stand ads for one more week, then it’s worth a look.
