The Phones That Charge Their Batteries The Fastest

Fast charging is quickly becoming one of the most important features in a new phone. Quick chargers allow you to fill your phone’s battery in much less time. These are the phones that do it the fastest.

Hardware site Tom’s Guide tested several of the major smartphones that offer some form of quick charging to see which ones had the fastest fast charge. The site used several benchmarks, including what percentage of the battery was charged at the 5, 15 and 30 minute mark, as well as how long it took to reach 80 and 100 per cent full.

It’s important to note that all of these phones have different overall battery capacities, so the percentage results may not be entirely fair. For example, in the chart above, the Samsung Galaxy S6 charged to 100 per cent the fastest, but it also has a comparatively small 2550mAh capacity. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenfone 2 has a 3000mAh batter. However, both of those phones charged 53 per cent of their capacity by the 30-minute mark. Which means, overall, you’d still have more charge in a Zenfone 2 than a Galaxy S 6.

That distinction aside, the full post has a lot more information on which phones are the best at charging up fast. If having a charged battery as fast as possible is important to you, you probably won’t go wrong with something on this list.
