ZipRecruiter analysed 250,000 job ads across a variety of industries to find the most commonly listed skills hiring managers want from new employees. Time to brush up on your communication skills, jobseekers.

More than half of the job ads analysed included a communication skills requirement. This came up more often than having a degree, time management skill, teamwork and individual motivation, although those are also important.

ZipRecruiter’s analysis also found the most common benefits offered by employers to attract new hires: a signing bonus, training programs and paid leave.
