Rekindle Your Passion For Work By Connecting With Coworkers

If you’re feeling unmotivated at work, try connecting with your colleagues for a reminder of why your work matters. Creating healthy relationships with coworkers is a great way to jumpstart your passion for your work, assuming you coworkers aren’t the problem, that is.

If you’re not especially close to anyone at work, talking to people can be tough. Start by inviting coworkers to coffee or lunch, or just striking up a conversation in the break room. Odds are you work with some great people, you just need to get to know them.

Ask them what they’re working on, they may inspire you with ideas for your own projects. Personally, when I’ve felt stuck, just finding out what others in my company are working on has boosted my own morale. If you do the same, you’ll learn more about how your work impacts theirs. Hopefully you’ll also rediscover some deeper purpose in your job.
