Minecraft has been a transformative title in the gaming sphere, but Microsoft’s ambitions for the title goes way beyond simply blowing up creepers for fun.

Microsoft’s Minecraft Education portal is relatively nascent right now, but the intention is that teachers can use it as a resource to share Minecraft teaching concepts, lesson plans and ideas. Not so much in the sphere of how to build a Minecraft powered rail, but how Minecraft could be used to teach mathematics, history, or any other subject.
