Attention nocturnal bacon fans: McDonald’s breakfast menu will soon be available to purchase at any time — that’s 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In other words, post-pub snacks are about to get a lot more satisfying.
McDondald’s 10:30am breakfast cut-off will soon be a thing of the past. The All Day Breakfast menu will make its debut at Wollongong and Illawarra outlets in NSW, followed by the Gold Coast in August.
The decision on where to offer the menu next will depend on customer response at the above locations — so if you’re in the ‘Gong do not let us down. If the launch proves successful, the aim is to gradually roll out the offering to all Australian restaurants with the exception of food court kiosks.
According to McDonald’s, the decision to launch an all-day breakfast came off the back of consumer demand; particularly weekend revelers and late-night shift workers who require a brekky fix at odd hours. Available menu items will include the Bacon and Egg McMuffin, Sausage and Egg McMuffin, Hashbrowns and Hotcakes; all of which will be available 24 hours, seven days a week.
“We are always listening and taking on feedback from our customers and All Day Breakfast
was one that people are always asking of us,” McDonald’s Australia’s chief marketing office Mark Lollback explained.
McDonald’s already serves all day breakfast items in several overseas markets. Discovering a Sausage & Egg McMuffin at 11pm in Hong Kong’s international airport was an absurdly exhilarating moment. Soon, thousands of Aussies will get to experience the same thrill.

I had no idea the McDonald’s in Hong Kong Int Airport did all day breakfasts! I have to say though, the GCB was the best tasting item I’ve ever had from a McDonald’s.
I was surprised by that myself when I transferred at HK. I was then bitterly disappointed when I arrived in Tokyo, to find out they do not. Damn shame too, cos they had a limited time hot dog that I wanted to try, but couldn’t!

With the eggs being cooked because of the CYT menu, i’m not surprised they are doing this now.
Finally, Bacon and Egg McMuffin with a proper beef patty. The sausage patty is god awful. Now let us have lunch menu at breakfast time!
Maybe I’m the only one that thinks their day menu is better than their brekky menu.
Yeah, why not also make the day menu available in the morning? Id much prefer a proper burger to a brekkie burger and I usually go past maccas in the mornings.

Why not unleash the breakfast menu all day if it’s from customer demand and not just to the lazy dole bludgers in Woollongong who get up after 11 A.M.

I wonder how the menu boards will work with this. McDonald’s have recently upgraded to digital boards which are annoying as it automatically scrolls through the menu items every 5 seconds. There does not seem to be much room to place a breakfast menu on top of it all. Maybe we will have to memorise what is on it.
All day breakfast,sounds great,I live in Henderson,nc I absolutely love the breakfast menu. Especially the fruit and maple oatmeal
