How To Turn Off The Automatic Subscription Renewal In Apple Music

Apple Music launched today and to get you to use the service, Apple is giving you three months for free. It also automatically signs you up for an auto-renewal payment option after that trial ends. Here’s how to turn that off.

After you set up Apple Music and are forced to pick a subscription plan with with the auto-renewal option, you can disable it:

  1. Head to Settings > iTunes & App Store
  2. Tap your Apple ID and enter your password
  3. Tap “View Apple ID”
  4. Under the Subscriptions option, tab “Manage”
  5. Toggle the “Automatic Renewal” option to off

That’s it, now you can enjoy your three-month free trial without worrying about getting charged for a service you might not end up even using.
