Build Custom Pegboard Tool Holders To Organise Your Wall Storage

Pegboards are handy tool organisers — everyone knows this. But they can hold much more than you think. Here’s how to build custom shelves and tool holders that will expand the functionality of your pegboard.

Using custom cut 19mm boards and L screws, you can start hanging your tools in less than 15 minutes. You’ll need a saw to cut your shelves to the desired length, a drill to predrill holes, and a chamfer plane. Cutting a chamfer to the top inside edge of the board will allow you to easily attach it to the pegboard.

Using this technique to attach a shelf, you can design and build many other types of tool organisers. Small dowels can be useful for storing wrenches and cables.
