If you’ve invested in a pizza stone, you can use it for more than just baking pizza — like keeping food warm when it is served.

The folks at The Kitchn note that pizza stones absorb and retain heat very well, so take advantage! Make sure your appetisers stay hot while people are chatting by serving them on a pre-warmed stone. You can also use a warm pizza stone to make sure main dishes are still hot when people go back for seconds (just make sure people know it’s hot so they don’t burn themselves and put it on a trivet so you don’t damage your surfaces).
Of course, you shouldn’t go out and buy a pizza stone just for this purpose, but this is a great way to get more use out of it if you already have one.
