Organise Your Kitchen Like Julia Child, With A Place For Every Pan

Of course beloved chef Julia Child had an impressive kitchen. Besides multiple pantries and a professional-grade stove, one of the most telling things about her kitchen is the smart organisation.

You might not want pegboards everywhere in your kitchen like she does, but you can take a clue from her meticulous organisation. As Vox points out, if you look closely at the cookware proudly displayed on the wall behind her, each pan is outlined on the pegboard — she always put the pans back in the same exact spot, which meant she could always find what she needed quickly. She also had four different ceramic crocks for kitchen tools with labels like “Spoonery” and “Wooden Things”, the Kitchn reveals, which is just awesome.

(I’m always looking for my tongs, so I might have to start implementing this in my household for myself and whoever in my family keeps moving the tongs.)
