Google’s Notification System Isn’t Just For Google+ Anymore

The Google+ notification system, which appears nearly everywhere that you’re logged into Google, is getting a major change. Now, you can get notifications for Google Photos or YouTube. You can even filter which ones you want to see.

As Android Police points out, not all settings seem to be available for all users just yet. To see what filtering options you have available, click the notification tray anywhere that it’s available (like Gmail) and click the Settings icon, as shown above. If you’re an avid YouTube or Photos user, you may see the option to allow notifications from these services while leaving out Google+. It’s unclear whether Google will expand this panel to include other services in the future, but it’s a welcome change already.
