Mata ConvertsWeb Pages Into A Low-Light Reading Mode

Chrome: It’s a bad idea to stare at bright lights late at night before bed, yet we all do it way too much. Chrome extension Mata allows you to make your bad habit a little less harsh by inverting the pages you read into darker, eye-friendly versions for night-time reading.

Mata is dead simple. Just click the button and whatever page you’re on will be converted to a darker version. The extension is only available on Github, however.

In order to try it out, you’ll need to download the zip from the source link, extract it, and manually load it on Chrome’s extension page. Due to new restrictions in Chrome, most versions will require you to enable “Developer mode” to load this unpacked extension.
