Home-Made Zucchini Chips Make For An Easy, Healthy Snack

If you can slice it, you can probably make chips from it. This holds true for the humble zucchini and if you’re after a tasty snack recipe using the vegetable, here’s one that uses ingredients you probably have already.

Here is everything you need, as provided by Instructables user “kahht”:

4 medium zucchinis
2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil

It’s then a simple matter of slicing the vegetables into 3.5mm pieces, spreading them evenly on baking paper-covered trays and letting them cook.

Now you might be tempted to heat your oven to 180-200°C, but the secret to getting nice, crispy chips is to use a lower setting and to cook for longer. kahht recommends you preheat to 120°C and let the zucchini slices do their thing over two to three hours.

Of course, if you’re starving it’s quite the wait, so best to plan in advance!
