Pack A ‘Kitchen Survival Kit’ When You Move

When you move into a new place, it usually takes a while to unpack everything. It can be mildly frustrating to dig through boxes to get stuff you need. We’ve talked about packing a first-night box. A “kitchen survival” box will also come in handy.

The Kitchn makes this useful suggestion and even offers a list of what to pack. Make sure to cover your basic cooking supplies, cleaning supplies, serving utensils and drink supplies. Here are a few specific items they list:

  • Saucepan
  • Frying pan
  • Knives
  • Cutting board
  • Foil
  • Dish soap/sponge
  • Kitchen towels
  • Paper towels

If it usually takes you a while to unpack all of your kitchen, this box is incredibly useful. These items are just the basics; check out the full list at the link below.
