Maximise Your Drawer Space With This DIY Tool Storage

Tool storage is an ongoing battle (if you’re like me and learned to remove a tool every time you acquire a tool). Here’s another clever organisation method that will instantly sort out a messy tool chest.

Foam tool cutouts look pretty, but they don’t maximise the space in a deep tool drawer. The video above demonstrates how to take an cheap wire shelf and, with the right bends, transform it into an organiser for your spannes and pliers.

A brake bender might make the job of bending the shelf easier, but a couple of 2×4’s to hold the shelf in a vice works almost as well. You can also take this concept into the kitchen and use it to store large utensils and flatware.
