Google Art Project Puts An Art Masterpiece On Every New Chrome Tab

Just as your browser’s homepage can be a source of inspiration, so can the new tab page, since you probably open it quite often. How about some fine art throughout your day?

Google’s new Chrome extension delivers artwork from the likes of Van Gogh, Monet and Degas from museum collections around the world. Along with the title of the art piece, you can click through to more information about it at the Google Cultural Institute.

In the options for Google Art Project, you can choose to have a new artwork show up daily or with each new tab. There are also options for showing the Chrome apps button, the default new tab button and your most visited sites button.

This is a beautiful and educational way to get to your next website destination.
