Much of the paper on sale has Christmas themes, but you can still find neutral colours like blue or silver. The paper’s cheap enough that you can replace it any time you feel like a different look in the kitchen on the bedroom.

I did this when I moved out of home. Went looking for drawer liners, choked at the price and reached for a roll of brown package/wrapping paper.
From that, another tip:
Buy brown package wrapping paper and white. White is good for all occasions including weddings/engagements and the brown is good for everything but that but CAN be used for mail.
