Grilling vegetables isn’t always the easiest BBQ task. The Art of Manliness explains the key: add the vegetables in the right order, starting with the longest cook time to the shortest, so they all finish at the same time.
If you put the vegetables on the BBQ in the wrong order, you have to keep up with several different cooking times, which leads to distractions and, ultimately, less tasty food. The Art of Manliness suggests starting with vegetables that take longer to cook — such as corn, onions and capsicum — then add things later that cook faster, such as zucchini. You can search online for individual vegetable cooking times, but the end goal is straightforward: try to time it so your veggies all come off the BBQ at roughly the same time.
