It’s a good time to gorge yourself at work Christmas parties, but not to go hunting for a new IT pro role. According to job advertising site Indeed, ads for tech positions fell by 12 per cent in November compared to the previous month.

That’s twice the rate of decline for job ads in general, which fell by 5.7 per cent. The lesson here? Get yourself to those Christmas functions and network if you’re seeking a new position.
