Gmail Now Has An Edit Button For Attachments

Gmail has just added a new “edit” button, which lets you edit attachments directly in Google Docs.

The button will work with any attachment that Docs can handle, and the list of Office file formats it can handle has been extended, to include basic PowerPoint slide shows and some macro-enabled files.

Docs still doesn’t offer the same range of formatting options as Word, but for simple edits, this is definitely handy.
