Store Your Seasonal Clothing Efficiently With The Three ‘S’ System

Storing your seasonal clothing is a great way to create some new space, but there’s another bird you can take out with that stone of yours. The three “S” system helps you organise, get rid of, and store your clothing.

Sure, it’s easy to grab all of your seasonal clothes and merely toss them in a bin, but you’re missing out on a chance to make the same season start out simple next year. Jennifer Hunter at home blog Apartment Therapy recommends tackling your clothing with the three “s” system:

  • Sort: Take the time to really go through your clothing and get rid of what you don’t want or use. Be honest with yourself, and if you need some help, consult this chart.
  • Scrub: Don’t store your clothes dirty! Give everything you’re keeping a wash before they get packed up.
  • Store: Pack away your clothes in breathable storage bags or pillowcases. Be sure to fold or roll your clothing, and avoid hanging anything if possible.

With this system, you can have all your seasonal clothing out of the way and ready to rock next year. The best part is you won’t have to unpack any clothing you probably won’t wear, so you can start with a nice clean slate.
